The Amazing Technicolor Dew Tour

Snowbasin, UT (January 20, 2010) — This past weekend, frequency TSJ contributor Lance Koudele attended the Snowbasin stop of the Dew Tour and witnessed enough spinning to make him dizzy and enough elaborate lighting schemes to make the night half pipe look like a pack of skittles. Sounds like a pretty sweet ‘trip’, huh?

As for results, on the men’s side, Danny Davis nabbed first via the omni-present double cork in a now seemingly small 18 foot pipe, before an unfortunate late night injury sent him to the hospital and out of Olympic contention. Chas Guldemond threw a 1260 amongst twirly rail combos to cash the big check. Elena Hight won the women’s pipe, and Spencer O’Brien returned to form to take women’s slope.

Best of luck to Danny for a speedy recovery, we hope to see you in the mountains again soon.
