“Everyone’s talked about how they wanted to see slopestlye to change and get more creative,” says Charles Beckinsale, Perisher’s terrain park manager. So that’s exactly what they did. With transitions everywhere, and some halfpipe take-offs thrown in the mix, the riders had fun switching up their runs. The weather wasn’t always compliant, jumps were knuckled and edges were caught, but the different style course allowed for some more creativity.
