The sun was out and the stoke was high this past Thursday as people from all over the the Pacific Northwest lined up to catch first chair at Mt. Baker, WA under the watchful eye of the beautiful Mt. Shuksan during the early hours of opening day. Kicking off the season with a solid base, Mt. Baker was the first mountain to open in Washington this season, and judging from the contagious smiles, energetic vibes from Thursday, and the potential for more precipitiation this week it seems like this season could be a complete turn around from last winter. A huge thank you to everyone at Mt. Baker and everyone who came out to ride and make this opening day such a great success.
