Don’t Disturb the Kodama: “Alex Rodway vs. the Japanese Hole of Death”

Ancient Japanese folklore tells of spirits living in the trees that span the country’s snowy mountainsides. They are known as the Kodama. Alex Rodway apparently disturbed the Kodama of the Kiorro backcountry and felt their supernatural wrath during his first filming trip in the land of the rising sun. Can you imagine what it must be like to suddenly fall 25 feet off of a cliff into a small hole with a few feet of water at the bottom? Luckily, you don’t have to–Alex caught it all on film.
