Sierra Scraps: July DIY with Rome SDS

To reaffirm: Snowboarding is not just a winter sport, it’s a snow sport. The boys at Rome SDS know this to be true, and took advantage of California’s record breaking snowfalls late into last summer. Last July, Aspen Rain Weaver, Ozzy Henning, Seb Picard and Len Jorgensen took a week to hit the road, snowboarding at Squaw Valley, Donners Pass and Mammoth Mountain. Of course, they got into some off-the-hill shenanigans as well. “Sierra Scraps: July DIY” is a mini documentary of their sun-baked adventure.

A word from Rome SDS about “Sierra Scraps: July DIY”:

Ahhhh yes, summer time. Sure, it’s easy to hang your boots up for the season but with an epic winter comes the opportunity for some epically unique summer boarding. As the great state of California received over 500 inches of snow this winter, we decided to rally the troops and take advantage of some Golden State boarding in late July.

Shot over the course of seven days on the road between Squaw Valley, Donner Pass and Mammoth Mountain, Sierra Scraps is a good ole fashioned road trip with an all-time international crew.

The recipe for a perfect California summer-shred cocktail is equal parts Ozzy Henning, Len Jorgensen, Seb Picard and Aspen Rain Weaver. Add one 12-passenger van, a few hundred miles, limitless Freedom Sodas, four skate parks and stir thoroughly. Serve over ice with a lime garnish.

Grab some sunscreen cause Sierra Scraps is live!
