In late December, 2017, Island Lake Lodge near Fernie, BC got a heavy dose of cold Kootenay blower. Austin Smith and a few friends on skis were there to take advantage. Indeed, at Island Lake Lodge, there are always friends on a pow day–which happens to be the case almost every day.
