There’s been a bit of a low tide in California this winter, but there’s still powder turns to be had if you’re willing to splitboard to them. Nate Musson, cofounder of The Not Snowboarding Podcast (featured in issue 15.1 of the journal) and of Shred Soles, recently made the move out from the east coast in search of those powdery turns in Tahoe. While others in the area are complaining that there’s nothing to ride, with his east coast roots Nate views this amount of snow as a godsend. So, he’s been out there making the most of it.
