Our friends over at Absinthe Films just released the third episode of “Mountain Minded,” a web series highlighting the importance of being prepared and mitigating danger in the backcountry. In this episode we hear both Kimmy Fasani and Leanne Pelosi’s personal accounts of ignoring warning signs and getting caught in avalanches that could have easily led to their deaths. These videos serve as an important reminder that even the world’s best riders aren’t impervious to the dangers the mountains inherently hold. Backcountry snowboarding is a beautiful experience, but it is paramount to stay prepared and continually educate yourself and your crew on the safest practices you can implement while you’re out there.
