You probably wouldn’t have guessed it from the outside looking in, but Torstein Horgmo describes his younger self as a loner. He says he was bullied growing up and channeled a lot of the subsequent negative energy into snowboarding. Upon arriving at his first Superpark in the States, Torstein came onto the scene as a quiet kid whose riding did his talking for him. From there he grew into one of the most progressive riders of his generation, as well as the confident and charismatic person the snowboard world knows and loves him for today.
