As flowers begin to bloom at sea level, the snow starts to soften up high. Setback stances are rearranged as powder turns to corn and the short boards come out. Spring has hit Washington State. And while bikini tanned ladies and tank-topped lads stumble back from the beaches of Cabo to resume their regular lives, Spring savvy shenanigans continue on in the mountains. It’s in full swing up on Snoqualmie Pass. With bright skies and cushy landings, Summit at Snoqualmie becomes a park rat’s paradise. March 31 at the Summit was a scorcher; a day full of sweat, sunburns, full-sends and steady stomps. Here’s a gallery of the day’s slushy session, a glimpse at the jib-centric fun that Summit Parks’ luminous last days of the season provide–clouds willing.
Gucci on my tail, Gucci on this rail. Eythan Frost listens to a lot of trap music when he’s hitting park. Young Eythan, why you trappin’ so hard? Switch backside bluntside 270 out.

The C rail was the bane of Eythan Frost’s jibsistence this day. It took a few tries, but eventually he managed to swerve the curve.
Shane Keller isn’t afraid to huck himself, and the slush only further encouraged his rambunctious approach to the park. He got upside down more than a few times during the session. Frontside rodeo 540.
Eythan Frost, frontside bluntslide down the double barrel Spy rail.
Michael Tschauner bonks the ball with Rampart Ridge shining on gloriously in the background.
Dylan Hallowell and Eythan Frost put a hurting on this rail. Here Dylan locks into a backside lipslide to carry through the kink.
A handful of snowskaters frequent parks at Summit at Snoqualmie. Adrian Rasmussen seems to be one of the more fearless among them. Here Adrian airs one out before lapping the lift up for another run.
Dylan Hallowell, switch fronstide bluntslide.
Shane Keller, frontside boardslide. It’s nice to see shadows on the slopes in Washington State. It’s been a while.
Après shred shenangigans. Garrett Edenholm dropping in on his car.
A common site on sunny spring days at Snoqualmie Pass: Easy lounging on Highway 906 after a hot day of hot laps.
Many thanks to Joe Pope and the Summit Parks crew for shaping such a fine park. Summit at Snoqualmie will have its lifts spinning for a few more weeks, so go up and get your jib on before it’s too late. Don’t forget sunscreen.
