Internships

Editorial Interns:

The Snowboarder’s Journal accepts applications for editorial internships year round. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Content Director of The Snowboarder’s Journal, carrying out day-to-day tasks essential to the title. Tasks may include anything from fact-checking and research to transcribing, packaging magazines for shipment and editing and authoring articles for both print and web. A successful applicant should possess the following qualities:

  • A genuine love for snowboarding and intimate knowledge of the culture.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Good understanding of AP grammatical style.

Previously published works and editorial experience are an asset but not absolutely necessary.  Applicants are encouraged to apply with a resume, a cover letter describing why they want to work for us and a writing sample that best represents your style and abilities to hi@thesnowboardersjournal.com with the subject line Editorial Internship. Hours are flexible based on individual needs but interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours a week. It is an unpaid internship for college credit. We look forward to receiving your applications.
