Still Do but Used To, Too

Nick BridgeOriginally from New Zealand, Nick Bridge now lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Nick used to be a bunch of things: the editor in chief of Bitchslap Magazine, Creative Director at Girls Are Awesome. He used to skate a lot more. He used to have brown hair, not salt and pepper sprinkles, and he used to live a bunch of places around the world in search of powder and après-ski pints. In the deep ocean of used-tos, there’s the smattering of still-does’s, amongst which Nick does the following: directing films, consulting brands, working with art, travelling, skating, snowboarding, Dad-ing and laughing with friends.

Carver CulbeckCarver Culbeck was born and raised in Haines, AK. After moving from Haines to the lower 48 to improve his riding with access to chairlifts, he realized he favored the foot-powered approach of his childhood. He now spends his summers raft guiding in Jackson, WY, to pay for his winters snowboarding. Most recently based at Mt. Baker, WA, Carver now spends the first half of the season in the lower 48 to prepare for splitboard adventures in Haines every spring. While lugging cameras around for the last decade he has found his lens pointed at some incredible scenes. Find his snowboarding on Instagram @carverculbeck and his camera work on his website carverculbeck.com.

Mike MillerMike Miller grew up in Idaho, and his love for skateboarding and snowboarding was the driving factor behind learning photography and video editing. In his early 20s he moved to Tahoe and started filming for Think Thank (Stack FootyThanks Brain) and Autumn Line (Technicolour). Then, he started a family and settled in Spokane, WA, where he started filming local skaters, helping with four full-length videos. Throughout the years, he’s taken snowboard crews around the area to find good spots for shoots, and sometimes filled in as the photographer. He doesn’t do this for a living anymore, but if given the opportunity, he’ll drop everything to hit the mountain to snap some photos. Mike is also the founder of the skate zine OBSRVR, where he combines his passion for photography and design.

JILL PERKINSJill Perkins was born and raised in Moorpark, CA, a place that she describes as “a little suburb, a little ranch.” There, she grew up mostly skateboarding and playing conventional sports, with a couple family vacations to Big Bear and one to Mammoth at a young age. She got into snowboarding her senior year of high school and it quickly took over her life. As Jill says, “I love the community aspect of snowboarding, the travel, the friendships, the food and the hard work everyone puts in.” A professional rider for the better part of a decade, Jill’s been living in Salt Lake City, UT since 2014 and has laid some roots there.

Mikko RehnbergMikko Rehnberg is a 27-year-old snowboarder from Finland.
