Through the Flames

“At the start of this session in Seefeld, Austria, the pyrotechnic, Max, gave us his safety briefing. He checked that everyone had safety glasses (we didn’t) and wasn’t wearing any synthetic materials (we were). Up until this point no one had considered that jumping through jets of burning propane might be a bad idea, but now, the crew exchanged nervous glances as people imagined pants melting onto legs and eyeballs melting out of skulls. The first few hits were tentative, but it didn’t take long for people to get comfortable. Before too long, ‘the Gimp’ was chucking laid-out backflips through the fire. You can’t quite see it here due to the fireball, but they’re only wearing a mask, underwear and boots. The mask did not survive the session, but the Gimp lives on.”
