MUSICAL PERFORMANCES BY:

The Cool Kids – Chicago, IL

The Cool Kids are a Chicago-based duo that bring different eras and styles together to create a package that mixes boomin beats and an old school rhyme style with an affinity for alternative fashion and culture. The duo got together in 2005 when Mickey Rocks came across some beats online by Chuck Inglish and liked what he heard. Mickey and Chuck got together with the intention of making beats to sell to other artists, but soon realized their own measured, smooth flows and lyrics fit best over their production. With one of the best mixtapes out this year, Tacklebox, The Cool Kids have a vibe that can only be described as the future of hip-hop.

Del the Funky Homosapien – Oakland, CA

Del’s detached alternative style is laced with humorous rhymes and funky beats that offer a fresh new outlook on the Hip-Hop scene. With involvement in projects such as Hieroglyphics, Deltron 3030, and the globally embraced “Gorillaz” collaboration, Del the Funky Homosapien is a true innovator and legend in the world of underground Hip-hop.

Bukue One – Oakland, CA

There are only a handful of emcees that can truly deliver conscious lyrics with a fun and uplifting flavor. Bukue One is armed with messages that transport us to a world of entertainment, positivity and spirituality. When he’s not on stage rockin’ the mic, he can probably be found skateboarding or graffiti writing – his two other passions. His drive to represent all three skills worldwide has led to the title of his latest project, Triathalon.

London Dungeon – Denver, CO

In the dark, musty depths of music reside two misshapen and filthy lads. They emerge every once in a great while and regale listeners with their smoking concoction of beats and booms, and those captive audiences can’t help but shake and twist as though caught in the throes of a dastardly seizure. These boys call themselves the London Dungeon!
