LIB TECH’s 7th Annual Downtown Throwdown: October 6, 2012
Lib Tech present’s their 7th Annual Downtown Throwdown in Seattle on October 6th and San Francisco on October 27th for another round of organized chaos. Straight from the source:
“Lib Tech’s Downtown Throwdown – Fueled by Monster Energy returns to the streets of Seattle and San Francisco! New features, amazing riders, over $25K in prize money and still totally FREE…it’s gonna be BANANAS!
The seventh year of the DTTD kicks off at noon on Saturday, October 6 in Occidental Park in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square, and finishes up on Saturday, October 27 on Fulton and Larkin Streets in the Civic Center of San Francisco.
The DTTD has grown from a local DIY project to the most anticipated and respected urban snowboarding event in the world. “It’s rad to see it keep growing each year,” says event creator Krush Kulesza “we were able to increase the prize money again, added some new features, the rider list is insane and Lib Tech’s even doing snow cones…it’ll be all-time!”
Speaking of that rider list, easily the heaviest to date with Forest Bailey, Dylan Thompson, Dylan Alito, Brandon Hobush, Scott Stevens, Nick Visconti, Austin Hironaka, Ted Borland, Andrew Brewer, Ryan Paul, Desiree Melancon, Sean Black, Danyale Peterson, Austen Sweetin, Johnny Lazz, Brandon Hammid, Johnny Brady, Jaeger Bailey, Ethan Deiss, Nial Romanek, Max Warbington, Chris Brewster, Stefan Krumm, Yale Cousino, Zak Hale, Chris Cloud, Spencer Schubert and Daniel Brown all confirmed.
DWD and Bent Metal’s Sean Genovese and his JudgeMENTAL team have their work cut out for them in deciding who gets a share of the $25,000 in cardboard I.O.U.’s, who wins the Monster Moment Best Trick and who joins Dan Brisse, Jed Anderson (twice), Nick Visconti, Ryan Paul, Brandon Hobush and Dylan Alito on the list of DTTD Top Bananas.
Lib Tech Ripper and Think Thank mastermind Jesse Burtner will handle the emcee duties alongside Crab Grab’s Preston Strout so you will be entertained and educated on all things shred. Add in great DJ’s, sponsor tents, tasty food carts (Cobra Dogs in Seattle!), charity raffles of amazing prizes and you have the makings of two more unforgettable DTTD events.
Finish it all off right by hitting the Arnette DTTD Afterparties (21+) for drinks and good times with the riders, lurkers and homies while taking in the latest snowboad films from Think Thank and Dinosaurs Will Die…”
