Stevens Pass: Open For A Day of Diehard Shredding

Two feet of snow fell on Stevens Pass Mountain Resort last week, giving them an opportunity to record the earliest opening ever for lift-accessed riding. On October 5, over 400 skiers and boarders strapped in and took full advantage of the early-season snowfall at the “Government De-rail Session”.

Stevens Pass typically opens in late November. We got a little taste this weekend, but the wait continues for the first heavy snowfall of winter, and for the mountain to be open full time. The pre-season buildup continues…
