The North Face: Mission Antarctica Teaser

If you think that we’ve conquered all of the snow-covered zones on this earth already, think again. There are still places so remote and extreme that they have only just begun to be seen as possible locations to snowboard and make films. Antarctica, the southern pole of the planet Earth, endgame for so many explorers and scientists throughout history, is among these places. However, Xavier De Le Rue and Lucas Debari took a trip last December to see what was out there. They made a film.

They set sail from the Falklands, through the Drake Passage and around the Fjords of the Antarctic peninsula in search of the best lines to ride on the continent. This film will show you things that you may never have imagined. Also, when was the last time you watched a snowboard movie that had whales in it? Probably never.
