The Pacific Northwest of the continental United States is a prestigious hub in the snowboard world, known for its heavy annual snowfall, gnarly mountain terrain and of course, Mt Baker‘s Legendary Banked Slalom. For the first episode of Giro Snow’s “Unplugged” web series, Curtis Ciszek, Bryan Fox, Seth Huot and Nils Mindich trek along Washington state’s powdery roads on their way to the 29th annual Legendary Banked Slalom. The “Unplugged” series lets the Giro Snow team riders take a break from massive backcountry jumps and competing in contests, allowing them to reconnect with the simpler joys of freeriding and laying down fresh tracks on their snowboards.
