Japan receives ridiculous amounts of snow every winter, and provides for all types of different terrain for snowboarding. There’s nice resort riding, endless urban features around its bustling cities and there’s amazing freeriding in the limitless glades and backcountry. Hell, on some days a snowboarder can even carve down a city street if it’s steep enough. Japan serves as the perfect training ground for snowboarding, and last season the Salomon Snowboards team utilized every aspect of it.
