The 2017 season is off to a strong start in Australia, specifically at Perisher Ski Resort. I was once riding a lift with Burton’s Zak Hale who told me that Perisher is among his top three favorite mountains to ride, and reminds him of his home mountain, Big Bear, CA. The similarities between the two mountains shines through in this video. On opening weekend a swarm of tech savvy rail riders amassed on Perisher’s slopes to hit its early season setup, and put a hurting on every feature in the park. It’ll be interesting to see where the progression of Perisher’s park goes this season, and how the locals will step to it.
